Today's spiritual directors are called to understand this diverse landscape through the wisdom contained in their own faith and spiritual path informed by the wisdom contained in the paths of others. Nearly all spiritual directors meet with individuals of other faith traditions, interspiritual paths or no specific faith path. A growing number of individuals self identify as spiritual but not religious. The capacity to approach spiritual direction with an understanding of this diversity is most effectively supported by cultivating the gift of presence with an openness to the wisdom of all world faith and spiritual traditions.
Our program offers the formation needed to journey with another with an open heart, mind and presence while deepening in one's own faith or spiritual path.
